A nurse accuses the artist, Menna Shalaby, of depriving us of food and forcing us to sleep on the floor

“Al-Quds Al-Arabi”: An Egyptian newspaper revealed, on Tuesday, accusations of verbal abuse and insult directed by the Egyptian artist, Menna Shalaby, to two nurses who take care of her mother.

The newspaper said: The two nurses accused Shalaby of starving them and depriving them of good food, as well as forcing them to sleep on the floor.

The newspaper “Cairo 24” quoted the two nurses as saying that the artist, Menna Shalaby, forced them to eat one meal a day free of meat and proteins, while preventing them from requesting a delivery, and that she always met their request by saying, “You are not coming to be spoiled.”

And they added, “She forces us to drink from the tap, prevents us from getting food and a mineral water, and watches us with cameras, and she was sluggish when she saw water or food with him.”

The newspaper, quoting Hiam, who is a pseudonym for one of the nurses who worked in Shalaby’s mother’s care, during the past months, indicated that she started her work last September for a period of three months.

She explained that Hiam broke her silence and decided to reveal the circumstances of the ill-treatment that she and her colleagues were subjected to at the hands of Shalaby, following the latter accused them of medical negligence in the case of her mother, and issued a report.

The artist, Menna Shalaby, accused the two nurses of neglecting to treat a wound suffered by her mother, as they used hot water on the wound instead of warm, which led to the deterioration of the wound and causing it to suppurate, according to the report that the artist edited. their place of residence.
