The thirty-something who replaces Crucke is loaded with diplomas and comfortable with numbers.
It is a shy and hesitant new minister who presented himself to the press on Tuesday morning at the Liberal party headquarters. At 33, Adrien Dolimont replaces Jean-Luc Crucke in the crucial post of Minister of the Walloon Budget, but also of Finance, Sports Infrastructures and Airports. Subjects in which this doctor of polytechnic and entrepreneur says he is eager to immerse himself.
By appointing Adrien Dolimont, the Liberal president created a surprise. The future minister is not new to politics, however. Grandson of Mathieu Nicaise, local elected and for a time mayor of Ham-sur-Heure / Nalinnes, he became alderman at the age of 18 for this same municipality. At the same time, the Ham-Nalinnois began studying civil engineering and obtained a doctorate. In 2018, he was elected leader by the local MR, but Yves Binon refused to give up his place.
