Cocaine discovery in Saxony: strange packages in bulk cane sugar delivery

Employees of a food company in the district of Central Saxony had come across strange parcels in a large delivery of cane sugar and then informed the police. In cooperation with the Chemnitz Police Department and the Dresden Customs Investigation Office, the drug investigators were able to confiscate a total of 600 cocaine packages with a total weight of more than 700 kilograms.

The further investigations should now clarify whether the drugs were actually intended for Saxony and who the actual addressees were. There is therefore no initial suspicion once morest the food company.
