Volleyball player Lee Jae-young (26), who left Korea due to school violence, has virtually failed to return to the Greek league. Instead of knee surgery, I decided to focus on rehabilitation in Korea.
Lee Jae-young and her twin brother Da-young signed a contract with PAOK Thessaloniki, a Greek women’s professional volleyball team, in October of last year. In early November of last year, less than a month following joining the club, he returned to Korea due to pain in his left knee.
An official who helped Lee Jae-young advance into Greece explained on the 11th, “Lee Jae-young has undergone detailed examinations of painful areas at multiple hospitals.
Earlier, the volleyball media ‘Palabolo Italiana’ predicted Lee Jae-young’s return. On the 6th, it was reported that “Lee Jae-young, who has been absent for a while, will return to Greece between the end of February and early March and rejoin PAOK.”
However, Lee Jae-young is unlikely to return to the Greek league. Instead of surgery, he will stay in Korea and focus on treatment. The Greek league ends in April.
Sisters Lee Jae-young and Da-young lost their place on the domestic stage when the truth of school violence was revealed in February last year. The two sisters, who immediately tried to advance overseas, made a new nest in the PAOK club.
His younger brother Da-young Lee is active as the team’s main setter. He plans to play for PAOK until the end of the season.
