It seems as if the Minister of Health is deliberately working to prevent the Lebanese from coming to Lebanon, and to prevent even anyone who wants to visit Lebanon from visiting. The reason is simply his suspicious intransigence in the matter of insisting on obligating everyone who wants to travel to Beirut to fill out a form on a special platform on the Ministry of Health website, which previously turned out to be an absolutely unsafe platform for recording private personal information. As for the latest “achievements” of Minister Firas Al-Abyad and his team, it is his insistence on the mandatory payment of $30 via credit cards through this platform.
The scandal is not limited to the danger of placing credit card information on such a platform that does not meet the electronic security standards, but rather in the fact that this platform rejects the vast majority of international and Lebanese credit cards, like all credit cards issued by Lebanese banks with “Fresh dollars” and also does not accept “American Express” cards are the most famous in the world, and many “MasterCard” cards are rejected. It suffices to imagine how airlines are prohibited from allowing any person to board a plane bound for Rafic Hariri Airport in Beirut unless he pays the $30 through this platform, to realize the extent of the disaster and how tens and hundreds of Lebanese and foreigners are unable to catch their planes because of the lack of Their ability to secure a valid credit card accepted by this platform, which led to chaos and problems in a number of international airports due to the inability of passengers to board Beirut planes!
It suffices to add to this scandal the fact that some countries, such as Iraq, do not support payment via bank cards, and therefore the Iraqis do not carry such cards, and there are 6 flights between Iraq and Lebanon per day, so how can all these problems be addressed?
The suspect in the matter is that the Minister of Health, Firas Al-Abyad, rejected all efforts for a solution, including the completion of cash payments for arrivals at Beirut airport, and insisted on paying via credit cards, which made him in the circle of suspicion regarding the goal of obtaining all the information related to the arrivals and their credit cards, especially in light of The ease of breaching the platform he insists on, following refusing to be among the platform launched by the Central Inspection and which the Ministry of Health benefits from in the matter of registering the Lebanese to receive the vaccine… What agenda does Firas Abyad serve? For whom does he work? Will Prime Minister Najib Mikati move to address this crisis before it escalates and it is too late?!
