Turkish football is in mourning: Ahmet Calik, Konyaspor center-back, died in a car accident.
Ahmet Calik (27 years old), Turkish international (8 caps, 1 goal), died on January 11 in a car accident. He was alone behind the wheel and lost control of his vehicle, reports the Turkish press. Central defender of Konyaspor, where he was Paul-José Mpoku’s teammate, Calik also wore the colors of Gençlerbirligi and Galatasaray, accumulating 192 matches in Turkish D1; he was an indisputable starter this season at Konyaspor.
