The Euro NCAP organization has just delivered its awards for the year 2021.
For as long as the car has existed, manufacturers have been working to improve the safety of their models. This requires more resistant materials, technologies allowing shorter braking and ensured via ABS, purely safety equipment such as seat belts or airbags but also new driving assistance technologies.
And on each new model that leaves the factory, the independent organization Euro NCAP performs the same ritual: several vehicles are subjected to crash tests to verify their solidity and, above all, the chances of survival of the passengers. With, for some time, good marks from manufacturers since the vast majority of manufacturers manage to obtain five stars even if it is sometimes a cold shower for some like Renault and Dacia who have seen their Zoe and Spring fail the tests. with zero and a star respectively.
