Over a thousand personal information was handed over to the Heungshin Office for 20,000 won each, and Lee Seok-Jun found out the woman’s address through the agents of the Heungshin Office.

26-year-old Seok-Jun Lee is accused of murdering the mother of a woman he knew and putting his younger brother in critical condition.

When the woman’s family reported her on charges of sexual assault and confinement, it was investigated that she went to the woman’s house with a grudge.

Prosecutors’ investigation revealed that the person who served as an informant for the victim’s home address was a public official at the Gwonseon-gu Office in Suwon City.

According to the prosecution, civil servant A found out the home address of the victim with the resident number of the victim B, which was given to him by Heungshinso employee B.

The address passed to Mr. B went through a few more Heungshinso and got into Lee Seok-jun’s hands.

Personal information handed over by public officials to receive only 20,000 won led to a terrible crime.

In this way, it was found that Mr. A stole regarding 1,100 cases of personal information for two years from the previous year and took regarding 40 million won.

It is known that Mr. A, who was in charge of imposing traffic fines, had the right to check the vehicle, but was unable to even check the access records inside the ward office.

As a separate case, the prosecution was investigating the allegation of leakage of personal information by Mr. A, and found that he also stole the information of the woman victim of the Lee Seok-jun case and arrested him last month.

Prosecutors indicted Mr. A and two contractors on charges of violating the Personal Information Protection Act and bribery, and three other contractors are under investigation.

The Gwonseon-gu Office plans to decide whether to take disciplinary action following the trial, following the restriction on Mr. A from his position.
