Putin leaves little room for maneuver in the Ukraine talks with Biden

The focus of the talks is on the deployment of Russian troops on the border with Ukraine and Moscow’s demands for a reorganization of the European security architecture.

The US and Russian delegations began their talks on Monday in Geneva. The meeting might decide which course Vladimir Putin will take followingwards in the Ukraine crisis. As in previous talks in the context of the so-called dialogue on strategic stability between Washington and Moscow, Deputy Secretary of State Wendy Sherman is leading the American delegation. You are sitting on the Russian side of your counterpart Sergei Ryabkov.
