Anxious to strengthen this winter, the Standard has activated several tracks since the start of the transfer window. One of them leads to Mathieu Cafaro (Reims).
This attacking midfielder, also able to evolve on the wings, should be the Rouches’ first recruit. Aged 24, this Frenchman trained in Toulouse was at the end of his contract with the Stade de Reims, where he rubbed shoulders with Will Still.
Cafaro, with a good vista, has not played much this season and Reims wanted to save his salary. It is therefore a win-win situation for all parties.
