As evidenced through a video shared by the entertainment program ‘La red’ (Caracol Televisión), the exponent of Vallenata music was in the middle of a show for the inhabitants of Puerto Wilches (Santander), when he went through an episode that, surely, he will never be able to forget.
It turns out that one of the attendees of her presentation got on stage, fought once morest security and managed to get to where the artist was. Already behind the artist, the mysterious woman proceeded to push her and reprimanded her with various insults.
According to what might be seen in the recording, when Karen Lizarazo gave the microphone to this woman so that she might expose her disagreements to the public, she was repeatedly called a “clown”.
In addition, ‘La red’ confirmed that the singer from Cesar “also had something thrown at her preventing her from being able to breathe well.”
However, this was not enough to overshadow her and she decided to continue performing her songs, so she said to her musicians with a laugh: “Play the clown who earns the most money in vallenato.” Meanwhile, the aggressor was returned to the public, who greeted her with noises.
Apart from these reactions, those of the Internet users did not wait and as soon as they knew the images, they did not hesitate to leave their applause for what they consider a “successful handling of the situation.” Even his colleague Adriana Botina did not hesitate to extend her congratulations through social networks.

It is worth mentioning that Karen Lizarazo was one of the artists who shone the most at the Latin Show Awards, in which recognition was given to ‘Best Vallenato Female Artist’ and ‘Best Vallenata Song’, with which he left very high the representation of women in this musical genre.
In fact, regarding the challenge of making her way as a woman in a field dominated by men, she spoke through a recent interview with the newspaper El Espectador:
“It is a challenge. At first it was a ‘mad cow’ because I was the only woman who was doing vallenatos following Patricia Tehran and Adriana Lucía. The female vallenato had been orphaned, in limbo, we had no more representatives, we were left without spokespersons, we were left without songs to dedicate to women, we had to take the men’s songs and change the lyrics to be able to dedicate them; So I think it was the best decision of my life, because apart from that I am a lawyer, I combined my professional career with my vocation, which is music, and having decided to make Vallenato music was my best decision, look where this adventure is going ”.
In addition, he warned that he will continue working so that his name is remembered among others such as those of Rafael Escalona, Diomedes Díaz, Rafael Orozco, Kaleth Morales, Martín Elías or Patricia Teherán.
