The Meteorological Department expected the weather tomorrow, Monday, to be partly cloudy with a significant decrease in temperatures that return to their annual rates. Fog will form on the heights and scattered rain will fall sometimes during the morning period, especially in the northern regions, and the weather will gradually improve during the day.
The bulletin stated the following:
– General situation: stable weather dominates Lebanon and the eastern basin of the Mediterranean, with temperatures above their seasonal rates, until this evening, as it is affected by an air depression, which leads to volatile and sometimes rainy weather until Monday noon, to return to stability once more.
The average temperature on the coast for the month of January is between 11 and 19 degrees Celsius.
– The weather expected today: clear to a few clouds with a rise in temperatures that become above their seasonal rates, the winds are active, especially in the south, with the appearance of layers of dust, and temperatures gradually and rapidly decrease from the followingnoon, and the weather turns in the evening to cloudy, and fog forms on the heights and rain falls Scattered as of night, it intensifies at times, especially in the southern regions, with lightning, thunder and strong winds reaching 65 km/hour, with snow falling at a height of 1800 meters and above.

Tuesday: Partly cloudy with high clouds without a slight change in temperature, and local fog at the heights.
Wednesday: Partly cloudy to partly cloudy with a slight rise in temperature, turning at night to cloudy, and the atmosphere is ripe for scattered rain sometimes with some snow at a height of 1700 meters and above.
Expected temperatures: on the coast from 9 to 22 degrees, over the mountains from 4 to 17 degrees, in the interior from 3 to 20 degrees.
– Surface winds: northeasterly to northwesterly during the day, southwesterly at night, active in total, gusting between 20 and 55 km/hr.
Visibility: Good overall, worsens at night on heights due to fog.
