A switch to the next generation at the expense of a Nintendo Switch Pro?

This famous “New Nintendo Switch Pro 4K EX Ultra Definitive Edition” will have been talked regarding well, a rumor which dates from the very release of the console, that is to say, with an intensification in the middle of last year with the arrival of the Nintendo Switch OLED.

While many hoped for a hardware overhaul of the console to give it a facelift, the OLED model was finally content with the bare minimum, namely changing the console screen, improving its speakers and doubling its internal memory allowing ” install 32GB more games compared to the previous version.

As a result, some analysts are starting to let go and think that the release of a Nintendo Switch Pro would be compromised, today it is Piers Harding-Rolls who, by confiding in our colleagues across the Atlantic to GamesIndustry.biz, suggests his doubts regarding a revision of the current console.
According to him (this is of course speculation) the Nintendo Switch Pro would not arrive in 2022, it might even be abandoned in favor of the next generation of home console from Nintendo. This may, according to the analyst, show itself at the end of 2024.

Piers also goes a little further by announcing that according to him, the Nintendo Switch should still sell to 21 million copies in 2022, in particular with the help of the OLED model released recently.

What do you think ? Do you see a console power overhaul appear by 2023 or will the Nintendo Switch be radio silent and focus on a few batches of games before leaving?
