Thiruvananthapuram: Director, screenwriter, actor and producer Ranjith has taken over as the chairman of the Kerala State Film Academy. The government appointed the new chairman on January 6.
At 11 am yesterday, Ranjith took charge of the film academy’s Kazhakoottam at the headquarters building at Kinfra Film and Video Park. Academy Secretary c. Ajoy, Vice-Chairperson Benapole, Treasurer r. Srilal and Deputy Directors N.P. Sajeesh, H. He was received by Shaji.
Ranjith is the ninth chairman of the film academy, which was formed in 1998. The academy chairman will also serve as the festival director of the International Film Festival.
