Reporter Chen Zhengfen/Yunlin report

In front of the Mailiao branch of the Taixi Branch of the Yunlin Police Station, a man surnamed Liu urgently asked the police for help because he was pregnant with twins and his wife “amniotic fluid” broke a week earlier. After more than an hour’s journey, it only took 18 minutes to get to the hospital, and the twins were born smoothly.

Police Constables Cai Yongzhang and Li Songhan sought time to assist the man surnamed Liu. They cleared the road with a patrol car, turned on warning lights and sounded the sirens, and notified the 119 ambulances to be on standby, swiftly clearing the road from Mailiao to Joseph’s Hospital in Huwei, shortening the journey. It took more than half an hour to get to the hospital, but only 18 minutes.

The man surnamed Liu repeatedly thanked the police for their assistance. The main reason was that the twins were expected to report one week earlier. He saw that his wife’s “amniotic fluid” broke and the uterus contracted rapidly and painfully. He was afraid that delaying to the hospital might cause the mother and child’s safety. The police station asked the police for rescue. Fortunately, the time required for the journey was shortened, so that the lives of the two children were born safely, and the mother and son are safe. Thank you very much.

The Taixi Branch urged that if people encounter similar emergency rescue situations, they should call 119. Because the ambulance has professional ambulance equipment, firefighters can provide immediate and proper care so as not to delay the golden rescue opportunity.
