[Archyde.com]–The operating organization of the US game trade fair “E3” announced on the 6th that it will not hold a face-to-face ceremony this year due to concerns over the new coronavirus.

Due to the surge in infected people in the United States, it has been announced that the schedule will be shortened or postponed, and face-to-face meetings will be canceled one following another for many large-scale events including the digital technology trade fair “CES”, the Grammy Awards ceremony, and the Sundance Film Festival.

The Entertainment Software Association (ESA), which operates E3, explained that it will not be held face-to-face due to the public health risks associated with the new corona and the potential safety impact of exhibiting companies and participants.
