Thus, defender Gabriel Jackson moved to Drummondville. In return, Rimouski gets their hands on striker Liam Kidney.
To explain this transaction, Philippe Boucher pointed out a surplus of players in attack as well as the youth of the defensive brigade of the Voltigeurs.

Originally from Quebec, Gabriel Jackson is already on his fifth team in the Courteau circuit. Drafted in the 13th round by the Victoriaville Tigres in 2018, the 6-foot, 3-inch, 186-pound back then wore the colors of the Gatineau Olympiques and the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada before ending up in Rimouski this season. .
At the Océanic, Gabriel Jackson wore the title of assistant captain. In 28 games this season, the 20-year-old has claimed nine points (1-8). In his career in the QMJHL, the Blizzard product of the Séminaire Saint-François has an experience of 115 games including the playoffs.
For his part, Liam Kidney will only have passed through Drummondville. Acquired from the Acadie-Bathurst Titan last November, the 20-year-old Nova Scotian has six points (1-5) in ten games with the Voltigeurs. The versatile 6-foot, 185-pound forward started his career with the Cape Breton Eagles, who selected him in the 11th round in the 2017 draft.
Having played 160 lifelong games in the QMJHL, Liam Kidney is already committed to the Axemen program at Acadia University for the next campaign.
