Emilio Lozoya might be without his Lomas de Bezares residence valued at $ 3.4 million, following the Second District Court on Domain Extinction Matters of Mexico City admitted the application of the Attorney General of the Republic for processing.
The argument presented by the Federal Public Ministry is that this property is the product of the alleged bribes received by the former director of Petróleos Mexicanos (Pemex) during the purchase-sale process of the Agronitrogenados fertilizer plant.
In accordance with an edict published by the court to notify any interested party who is considered to have rights in that property, it is established that the lawsuit was filed since November 11 of last year, date on which the property was subject to precautionary insurance.
The FGR investigations establish that the company Altos Hornos de México (AHM), of Alonso Ancira, paid a $ 3.5 million bribe to Lozoya Austin for Pemex to buy the Agronitrogenados plant, which was in scrap condition.
In the judicial states, it is established that the defense attorneys of the former director of Pemex went to the Second District Court in Matters of Extinction of Domain of Mexico City to be notified of the initiation of the procedure.
Now, there is a deadline to answer the lawsuit filed by the FGR claiming the property of Lomas de Bezares, no later than February 9, 2022.
In addition to the property claim, the FGR presented the formal accusations before the control judge José Artemio Zúñiga Mendoza in which requested 39 years in prison for Lozoya Austin, for the crimes of money laundering, bribery and criminal association, in the case of a bribe of 10 million dollars by the Brazilian company Odebrecht.
In the same case, the Federal Public Ministry requested 21 years in prison for Mrs. Gilda Margarita Austin Solís, mother of Lozoya Austin, for her involvement in the crimes of operations with resources of illicit origin and criminal association.
