We have already published news with this title year and a half ago. In the summer of 2020, Spyker was really going to return to the production of supercars, having secured financial support from Russian businessmen. But the money never came, so Spyker filed for bankruptcy in January 2021. And now, a year later, the head of the company, Victor Müller, once more made an announcement: Spyker is preparing for a revival.

It’s funny that the characters are the same as last time: Russian businessmen Boris Rotenberg (he owns SMP Racing and BR Engineering) and Mikhail Pessis (owns SMP Racing Monaco, Milan Morady and R-Company) will be financing. True, the volume of investments has not been disclosed. However, it was stated that the production of carbon-fiber bodies for future Spyker cars will be established in Russia, plus the Russian side will participate in engineering. The production of cars will be established in the homeland of the Spyker brand in the Netherlands.

What kind of cars are we talking regarding? Yes, all regarding the same: the already covered with dust supercars Spyker B6 Venator (debuted in 2013) and Spyker C8 Preliator (appeared in 2016), as well as the Spyker D12 Peking-to-Paris crossover, first shown back in 2006. It is possible that all three models will undergo reengineering, but they will definitely keep the gasoline engines: Victor Müller promised that the company will keep the V8 for years to come. Although later, hybrid add-ons will still appear.

According to preliminary information, the revival of the Spyker company should take place in 2022. It’s just hard to believe in it.
