After Emmanuel Macron’s remarks on the unvaccinated, the debates on the vaccine pass again suspended in the Assembly

For the second time in two evenings, the National Assembly suspended the debates planned on the bill transforming the health pass into a vaccination pass. “The conditions for peaceful work are not met”, declared, Wednesday January 5 around 2 am, the chairman of the session, Marc Le Fur (Les Républicains, LR).

The decision was taken following the words of Emmanuel Macron, who said in The Parisian to want “Piss off” the unvaccinated. The opposition groups, which asked for a first suspension of the session shortly following midnight, demanded the arrival of the Prime Minister, Jean Castex, to explain the statements of the Head of State. In vain.

While there are nearly 450 amendments to study on the text, the meeting is supposed to resume Wednesday at 3 p.m.
