Samsung presents the Galaxy S21 FE, a high-end at a reduced price

After a long wait and even thinking that it would not reach the market, Samsung finally presents its economic version of the Samsung Galaxy S21.

The new device has many features in common with the higher models, but also some shortcomings. Of course, we should not overlook that its price is substantially lower ($ 699 for the cheapest version).

We review all the features of this new edition of the most recent flagship model of the South Korean giant.

The Samsung Galaxy S21 FE has a design very similar to the rest of the Samsung Galaxy S21 with a hole in the screen and a vertical rear camera module that protrudes slightly.

The screen is 6.4 inches, has AMOLED technology and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The ultrasonic fingerprint sensor is the same that we saw in its older brothers and this is also located under the phone screen. The cell phone is certified for resistance once morest dust and water IP68.

The power of the device is handled by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor along with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. We also find a version with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage.

The battery of the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE is 4,500 mAh with fast charging of 25 W, exactly the same as the rest of the Galaxy S21 family and somewhat limited if we take into account the figures that the competition handles.

The operating system is Android 11 customized with One UI, the manufacturer’s layer. Regarding connectivity, we find 5G in the full spectrum, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.2 and NFC.

In the photographic section it boasts three cameras, a main 12 MP, an ultra wide angle also 12 MP and an 8 MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. The front camera is 32 MP.

Price and availability of the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE

The Galaxy S21 FE starts at $ 699 for the 128GB version with 6GB of RAM and $ 769 for the version with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.

The device will be available in the United States starting January 11 in four colors: black, purple, green and white.
