Mr. Dbich succeeds Joerg Weber who is called upon to take on new responsibilities within the Allianz Group, Allianz Africa indicates in a press release.
Mr. Dbich was previously Deputy Managing Director of AXA Assurance Maroc and member of the Executive Committee of the Moroccan Federation of Insurance and Reinsurance Companies (FMSAR). He led the local strategy and technical activities of AXA Assurance Maroc for more than 12 years and contributed to the launch of its recent transformation program.
Within the Company, he held the position of head of the actuarial function for 4 years and also held regional responsibilities as head of underwriting and reinsurance authorities for the CIMA region (Interafrican Conference of Insurance Markets ).
Mr. Dbich has worked since 2001 in key national financial institutions. He started his career as an actuary and held various positions of responsibility, starting with the National Fund for Social Security Organizations (CNOPS) where he contributed to the establishment of the foundations of compulsory health insurance ( AMO).
Chairman of the Traffic Accident Guarantee Fund (FGAC), Mr. Dbich is an alternate member of the regulator’s Discipline Committee. With more than 20 years of experience in the insurance sector, he benefits from in-depth expertise in the local market, both strategically and operationally.
“His technical mastery coupled with his recognized leadership makes him the ideal profile to lead the next chapter of Allianz Maroc,” said Delphine Traoré, regional CEO of Allianz Africa, quoted by the press release.
The new CEO of Allianz Maroc has also been co-opted as a Director of the Company.
