Villarreal was welcoming Levante and made short work of the Red Lantern. Dia opened the scoring (8th), followed by Torres (13th) then Moreno (37th) just before the break. After the break, Moreno’s double drove home the point (79th), before Trigueros (74th) fixed the final score at 5-0.
Bilbao moved to Osasuna, who quickly opened the scoring with Kika (10th). But a double from Oihan Sancet (16th and 25th) allowed the Basques to reverse the trend. Sancet planted his third of the evening following the break (68th) to offer the victory to the Athletic.
Finally, Sevilla FC, second in Liga, made the short trip to Cadiz, penultimate. The former Marseillais Ocampos (58th) scored the only goal of the game which allows Sevilla to stay in the wake of the leader, Real Madrid.
