Vaccine distribution to children begins; The first day was given to 38,417 people Kerala | Deshabhimani

Thiruvananthapuram: The distribution of vaccine to 15-18 year olds in the state started on Monday. Health Minister Veena George said 38,417 children had been vaccinated with the Kovid vaccine on the first day.

Thiruvananthapuram district had the highest number of vaccines given by 9338 people. 6868 in Kollam and 5018 in Thrissur. No side effects have been reported.
Pathanamthitta – 1386, Alappuzha – 3009, Kottayam – 1324, Idukki – 2101, Ernakulam – 2258, Palakkad – 824, Malappuram – 519, Kozhikode – 1777, Wayanad – 1644, Kannur – 1613 and Kasaragod – 738. There are 551 vaccine distribution centers. The target is to vaccinate 15.34 lakh children.

The centers will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The minister also requested that those over 18 years of age who are yet to be vaccinated and those who have time to get the second dose should be vaccinated as soon as possible.
