President Andrés Manuel López Obrador accused that a former high-ranking official of the federal government, of whom he did not give his name, at the expense of the treasury underwent plastic surgery to get “a little nose like that of the President Peña Nieto”.
In the National Palace, the head of the federal Executive criticized that in past six-year terms, around 6 billion pesos were spent on major expense insurance, something that, he stressed, does not happen in his government.
“6 billion pesos were spent in the government in total for the special medical service. A high public official and a private clinic became ill, and the government paid for everything. I know of senior public officials, at least one, who was made plastic surgery at the expense of the treasury, I even know the anecdote.
