Do you know the 4S? It is a method developed by doctor Christian Recchia, following many years of research. It consists in learning “to control your food sphere, your sleep, your stress and your sport”, to prevent in order to better heal in short. We tend to go to the doctor when things are wrong. On the contrary, in Well done for you, Christian Recchia insists: “Everything is a question of common sense because everything exists in prevention, but no one is responsible.”

“Medicine in France for 70 years has made exceptional progress with care that has managed to cure patients in a remarkable way. We must honor this medicine, but it is not sufficient,” he asserts. According to the doctor, if one applies his method, “you add life to the years and you add tissue repair”, even “beyond 55 years” he assures.

Impeccable diet and sleep

But what do the 4S correspond to? First of all, it is a question of “managing one’s food sphere, from the Earth to the fork and from the fork to the neurons”, details Christian Recchia. “You have to have fun by eating slowly,” he recalls.

Then, “you have to sleep well because following being activated during the day, you have to repair yourself well at night and at night repair the neurons”. And the professor underlines that “those who sleep badly are people who often have degenerative diseases at the neuronal level”.

Manage stress and get active

Finally, you have to play sports. Dr Recchia himself has been practicing ten hours a week for decades. And he has a very personal technique: gardening. A taste passed on to him by his grandfather. “It’s a quiet physical activity that relaxes, like golf.”
