Steam Records Record Online Players Thanks to CS: GO and Dota 2 | news

The gaming platform Steam has set new records for the number of online users, as well as for the number of people at the same time playing games. According to SteamDB, on Sunday, January 2, 27.9 million users had Online status, which is slightly higher than the figure that was recorded in November 2021.

On the same day, more than 8.2 million Steam users were directly in the games – this is a record figure in the history of the platform. Prior to that, the maximum online was recorded in March 2020 at 8.1 million people.

The most popular games on the day of setting records were CS: GO (767 thousand players) and Dota 2 (661 thousand). The top five also included PUBG, Apex Legends and Grand Theft Auto V, which ranged from 130,000 to 150,000 online.
