CAN 2021- Ismaïla Sarr: Watford responds to the FSF

The hatchet is far from being buried. A few hours following the FSF press release indicating that Watford opposes the release of Ismaïla Sarr for CAN 2021, the English Club spoke on the case.

“In early December, the Club wrote to the Senegalese Football Federation describing the clinical diagnosis of Ismaïla’s injury and immediately followed up by providing MRI scans detailing the extent of the injury. After a further consultation with medical experts, we informed the Ismaïla Federation of the rehabilitation process and the probable recovery schedule ”, can we read on the Watford press release.

Who pursues. “During the last 10 days, the Club has reiterated to the Senegalese Football Federation the current state of health of the player and his recovery schedule. The Hornets also invited the Senegalese Football Federation to instruct their own independent surgeon to confirm the diagnosis and the period of rehabilitation. “
