KSC players embarked on their yearly winter training session in Estepona, a city in southern Spain. Besides a number of sidelined athletes, another player may miss the trip: Fabio Kaufmann. The cause? A positive COVID-19 test.
Several KSC players couldn’t make the Spanish training camp. Injuries sidelined goalkeeper Paul Löhr, defender Sebastian Jung, versatile attacker Malik Batmaz, midfielder Kyoung-Rok Choi, and central defender Robin Bormuth in Estepona, near Marbella.
Furthermore, Fabio Kaufmann, a recent addition to the team, is also absent. Sources indicate the player, a key performer with five starts in eighteen second-division matches and one goal, is battling COVID-19 and is currently in isolation. Hence, he’s unable to attend the training camp.
