This Saturday, the China National Space Administration unveiled a collection of Martian photographs captured by the Tianwen-1 orbiter.
In an official announcement, the administration declared the probe has been circling Mars for 526 days, situated approximately 3.5 million kilometers from Earth. The image transmission required about 19.5 minutes.
This Chinese exploratory vehicle commenced its journey on July 23, 2020, from the Wenchang Space Launch Center in southern China, utilizing the CZ-5 heavy-lift rocket.
Following the touchdown of the lander, the orbiter maintains its Martian orbit, completing a full revolution in two Martian sols (24 hours and 39 minutes).
The probe’s primary objective is to facilitate communication with the Chinese Mars rover.
