Digital platforms overflowed with images and videos capturing the Red Sea coastal city’s stunning metamorphosis in the early days of 2022. The unprecedented snowfall, a rare event in Hurghada’s history, rendered the city in a pristine white.
Safaga, too, encountered widespread rainfall. Red Sea municipalities declared a state of emergency in response to the inclement conditions, heeding the meteorological agency’s prior alert regarding the severe weather forecast for Saturday and Sunday.
