AOMG, established a new entertainment company 'More Vision'.”>Jay Park, having stepped down as the head of the hip-hop imprints AOMG and H1ghr Music, appears to be preparing for a complete departure from the music industry by streamlining his online presence.
On the 1st, Park purged his Instagram feed and deactivated his account. A search for his profile now yields a “page unavailable” message.
On July 31st, Park shared a message on his personal Instagram, stating that after careful deliberation, he’d made the decision to relinquish his CEO positions. AOMG and H1ghr Music subsequently confirmed his resignation.
Park established the hip-hop label AOMG in 2013. Its roster boasts prominent names like Simon Dominic, Gray, Loco, Lee Hi, Code Kunst, Woo Won-jae, and GOT7’s Yugyeom, among others.
He later founded H1ghr Music in 2017, a label home to artists including Sik-K, Kim Ha-on, Big Nati, Groovy Room, Trade L, and JB.
The day prior to his resignation announcement, on July 30th, he tweeted, “If I retire or vanish, please remember me.”
He’s hinted at retirement in prior interviews and appearances. The recent flourishing of his soju business further solidifies this prospect.
Incidentally, Park unveiled a new track, ‘To Life,’ on August 1st. Should his retirement plans proceed, this release could mark his final musical endeavor.
