Dev Mohan‘s Jailhouse Persona; ‘Dot’ Character Poster
Dev Mohan, who captivated audiences as a Sufi in “Sufiyum Sujathayum”—a groundbreaking Malayalam film as the first OTT release star vehicle—now inhabits a prison setting in Jiju Asokan’s new movie, “Pulli.” Following “Ants Don’t Sleep” and “Premasutram,” this project, under the Kamalam Films banner, is produced by Raghunathan and directed by Jiju Asokan, and is poised for release.
Dulquer Salman unveiled the movie’s title poster. Dev Mohan’s character poster for “Puli” has taken social media by storm. His character is named Stephen. After Vijay Babu’s “Sufi and Sujatha,” produced under the Friday Film House banner, fans eagerly anticipated Dev Mohan’s next venture.
Dev Mohan will also portray Dushyanta Maharaja in the 100-crore Telugu film “Shakunthalam,” directed by Telugu hitmaker Gunasekhar. Samantha will star opposite Dev in this multi-lingual film slated for release in five languages.
With twelve films under his belt, including a new project from Friday Film House, “Twelve” by Leo Thaddeus, and four Pan-Indian movies in Tamil and Telugu, Dev Mohan is poised for a significant increase in his workload in the coming years.
Dev Mohan’s first theatrical outing, “Pullai,” will have a global release in February. The film boasts a stellar cast, including Indrans, Kalabhavan Shajon, Senthil Krishna, Vettukili Prakash, Sudhi Koppa, Rajesh Sharma, Sreejith Ravi, Vijayakumar, Abin Bino, Prathapan, Meenakshi, Indrajith Jagan, and Tina Bhatia.
The movie features a large ensemble of actors. Binu Kurian is the director of photography. Editing is by Deepu Joseph, whose credits encompass films such as “Emayou,” “Jallikettu,” and “Churuli.” Music is by Bijibal and Prashanth Madhav is the art director. ‘Pullai’s’ action sequences are the work of a skilled action choreographer who previously worked on the Tamil films “Rakshasan” and “Surarai Potru”. Costume design is by Arun Manohar, makeup by Amal Chandran, production control by Biju K. Thomas, and public relations by A.S. Dinesh and Athira Diljith.
