The COVID-19 Situation Administration Center’s (CDC) January 1st, 2025, report detailed 3,011 new infections, bringing the total to 2,226,446; 3,315 patients recovered, for a cumulative 2,171,809; and sadly, 10 fatalities, totaling 21,708. A total of 32,929 individuals are currently receiving treatment, with 583 in critical condition and 158 on ventilators.
The ten fatalities originated from eight provinces: Nakhon Ratchasima (two per province), Bangkok, Nakhon Sawan, Krabi, Phang Nga, Satun, and Surat Thani (one each). The deceased comprised five men and five women, aged 38 to 87, with a median age of 66. All were over 60 and had pre-existing health issues.
