The Code of the National Electricity Transmission System approved

At its sixth meeting, the National Electricity Regulatory Authority (ANRE) governing body endorsed the National Electricity Transport Network Code (CRENT). This code will take effect on January 3, 2022.

The National Transmission System Manager (GRT) drafted the CRENT and presented it to the ANRE for ratification. This action aligns with Law No. 48-15, which established the Authority and regulates the power sector, the ANRE explains in a related document. The code sets non-biased technical standards for connecting to and accessing the national electricity transmission grid, encompassing interconnections, the ANRE clarifies.

The ANRE employed a collaborative method, forming panels with the TSO and conducting discussions with public and private stakeholders in the energy industry. This included independent power producers, the Energy Federation, the Ministry of the Interior’s Department of Local Public Networks, and through an online forum at: “www.anre.ma ».
