Phillip Carey pleaded guilty to sexually abusing a 99-year-old woman in a nursing home in Blackpool, England.

According to BBC, Carey worked as an elderly caregiver and was recorded on a security camera when he abused the woman, who was diagnosed with dementia.
It was the relatives of the old woman who placed the surveillance camera after noticing strange behavior in the woman.
“We realized that his behavior had changed. She became withdrawn, did not hug us, or kiss us and did not want us to leave when we left and said things that worried us, suggesting that she would be punished”, he told the relatives to the aforementioned media.
In addition, they said they believed she was being mistreated, but when they discovered the truth they were surprised.
“We are shocked and horrified, we never imagined we would see her being abused and raped in her own room… Our elderly relative has gone through a terrible ordeal at the hands of someone we trust to take care of her.”, sentenced.
Carey, 48, was sentenced to life in the Crown Court of Preston.
