Abu Dhabi: The number of new covid cases is decreasing in the UAE. According to the official data released by the Ministry of Health and Defense of the country, 945 people have been confirmed to be infected with the Covid-19 virus in the country today. Daily covid cases continue to be less than a thousand.
In the last 24 hours, 980 Kovid patients who were under treatment in the country have recovered. No new covid deaths have been reported in the country in the last 24 hours. New patients in the country were detected from 1,91,532 newly conducted covid tests.
According to the figures so far, a total of 9,98,714 people have been confirmed to be infected with the Covid-19 virus in the UAE. Of these, 9,77,608 people have already recovered. A total of 2,337 people have died due to covid in the country. Currently there are 18,769 covid patients in the country.

Al Ain: Punishment for expatriate youth who insulted his co-worker through WhatsApp message. The Al Ain Court of First Instance ordered him to pay Dh10,000 in damages.
Koti’s verdict is in view of violation of online laws. The court observed that the WhatsApp voice message sent by the accused youth to the complainant was insulting and threatening. The complaint was filed by Arabs under 30 years of age.

In his complaint, he alleged that the voice message sent by his colleague through WhatsApp was insulting, vulgar and threatening. The demand in the complaint was for 50,000 dirhams as compensation for the mental difficulties he had to face. After hearing the arguments, the court ordered the defendant to pay Dh10,000 as compensation for the emotional distress suffered by the complainant.
