A 91-year-old Brazilian granny has shown that promises are meant to be honored. And it is that Libia Guerreiro do Valle fulfilled her grandson Pedro Henrique Guerreiro, following he went to the Faculty of Medicine.
Because a high grade was needed on the entrance exam, Libya asked her 19-year-old grandson to “study hard” and “do his part.”
“And I promised him that if he approved, I would get a tattoo. Neither at 20 nor at 90 did I imagine that I would get a tattoo. That was because I promised, and we have to keep promises,” she told a media outlet.
The grandmother had an image of Our Lady of the Aparecida Conception made, to which she is very devoted, and to whom she asked so that her grandson might fulfill his dream.
Contrary to what one might think, the woman enjoyed the experience. “I didn’t feel any pain. My daughters went with me, they were all the time talking, smiling. I see people on TV claiming that it caused them a lot of pain, but each one feels it in a different way. Some suffer more, others less. I didn’t feel anything,” she assured.
In addition, she was delighted with the result. “Thank God, it was very nice. I did it on the arm,” he explained.
Because Pedro will have to go to live in another state when he enters university, the future doctor must now keep a promise to his grandmother: to visit her frequently.
