“Nine people, including four children, were injured when the Russian occupiers shelled Kherson in the evening,” said Roman Mrochko, the mayor of Kherson. He added that the injured children are between the ages of 2 and 13.

In November 2022, Ukrainian forces recaptured Kherson, but since then it has been under constant fire from Russian forces from the opposite bank of the Dnipro River.
On the same night, a warehouse of the Ukrainian Red Cross, where aid for the residents of the Kherson region was kept, was destroyed.
The Ukrainian Red Cross said on social media that the fire, caused by a direct artillery hit, destroyed the supplies.
He posted photos showing the charred remains of the facility, with the fire still smoldering.

At that time, the head of the Kyiv administration, Serhiy Popko, informed that Ukrainian air defense systems had shot down several Iranian-made Shahed drones flying to the capital.
“There were no casualties or destruction in the capital,” he wrote in the Telegram. Popko added that the attack – the fifth against Kyiv this month – was carried out from the Black Sea region.
Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terechov reported at least two strikes near residential buildings in his city.
Ukraine’s air force said two S-300 anti-aircraft missiles fired from Russia’s Belgorod region hit Kharkiv. No casualties have been reported.
Ukraine has asked allies to provide more air defense systems.
The Democratic and Republican leaders of the US Senate said on Tuesday that Washington will not be able to approve new aid to Ukraine by the end of the year.
