Pakistan Ambassador to Iran Mudassar Tipu confirmed the incident on social media website X and expressed deep sorrow and regret over the incident.

He said that there is deep shock over the horrific killing of 9 Pakistanis in Sarawan, the Pakistani embassy will provide full support to the bereaved families and the Pakistani consular went to the site of the incident and to the hospital to meet the injured.

He demanded Iran to cooperate in the investigation into the killing of Pakistanis.
