9 months after the fire in their house, the City of Mons is asking them… €9,000 for the Nadar barriers placed around the house!

Cédric Stilmant and Christelle Gouvart saw their house go up in smoke on the night of September 26, 2019 in Harmignies. They had only owned this house for three years and the work was not yet finished. A few days later, the building being potentially dangerous, the municipality installed 14 Nadar barriers there.

The couple finally made the decision to fix up the house. They therefore asked an architect to draw up the plans which must then be sent to town planning.

After nine months, an invoice for €9,000 is sent to the couple (the details)

“We have to settle the slate ourselves”: Cedric testifies

The City of Mons reacts

What irritates Cédric all the more is that many people had mobilized to come to their aid. He receives this invoice as a lack of respect towards them…
