84-year-old from Vorarlberg transferred 30,000 euros to fraudsters

As the police announced on Wednesday, he received an email last week, ostensibly from his bank. In it, criminals asked him to update his access data for online banking via a link. The fraudsters then called the man and said there had been a mistake and that he should confirm the chargeback via the bank app. The victim complied with six transfers.
