84-year-old Cuban woman arrives in Florida by raft and this is the first thing she does

An elderly Cuban woman from Guanabacoa, Havana, arrived by raft at the age of 84 in Florida and after meeting with her relatives, children and grandchildren, this was the first thing she did. An anecdote that is still funny after the scare of the illegal crossing.

An 84-year-old Cuban woman left the island on a boat with more than twenty people, including her daughter, who accompanied her and cared for her during the journey, according to reports on social media this weekend.

The group arrived in Marathon, Florida Keys, at 11:00 p.m. last Thursday, where they were intercepted by the U.S. Border Patrol.

Influencer Dairon Cano shared several videos on his TikTok account showing the elderly woman reunited with her children and grandchildren in what will be her new home. The woman, originally from the municipality of Guanabacoa in Havana, was excited to be reunited with her offspring, who welcomed her with affection.

“Cuban warrior and queen. God bless her, she was the only one missing to complete the family,” the well-known influencer wrote on the social network.

The 84-year-old Cuban woman who arrived in Florida by raft did something that raised smiles after her family was tucked in at home. In the videos, a table next to her can be seen with 15 packages of La Llave coffee, a striking gesture.

According to her relatives, the old lady is a great coffee lover. “She really needed coffee and now she is going to drink a lot,” said one of her daughters. “The whole family is here now,” added a grandson with great joy.

The reports do not detail the type of boat on which the elderly woman made the dangerous journey from Cuba. Like all Cubans who reach the United States by this route, the elderly woman is subject to a deportation order and could be returned to the island.
