83 percent increase in Tesla deliveries in the second quarter of this year

SAN FRANCISCO, July 2 (Xinhua) — U.S. electric vehicle maker Tesla delivered 466,140 vehicles in the second quarter of 2023, up 83 percent year-on-year, according to a report from the company on Sunday.

About 96 percent of those deliveries were Y crossovers and entry-level Model 3 sedans, according to the report.

Meanwhile, Tesla said it produced 479,700 vehicles in the second quarter, up from a year ago’s 258,580, and exceeding analysts’ expectations.
