The accident happened on Banestien in Havbro shortly before 6 p.m., when the police and emergency services were alerted.
The elderly man drove off the path and down a five meter high cliff on the old railway embankment, and although the alarm was raised immediately, the man’s life could not be saved.
– For inexplicable reasons, he got one pair of wheels out of the discount. As a result, he lost control and fell down a slope, where he hit a tree, according to the warden.
Attempts were made to revive the 82-year-old on the spot, but in vain.
Christian Tilsted states that the elderly man was in the company of another person who was driving an electric scooter. It was the person who raised the alarm. A car inspector has been called to investigate the accident site, but there is still no definitive explanation of the cause of the accident.
The 82-year-old’s next of kin have been notified.
