Nearly 800 cases of brain cancer are detected each year in Belgium.

Sophie Wilmès’ husband, Christopher Stone, is battling aggressive brain cancer. But what are we talking about? Medical oncologist Nicolas Wenham explains that the term brain cancer can refer to several diseases. “We must already distinguish benign tumors from malignant tumors which have a faster development. There is also sometimes a confusion between brain cancers and cancers which start from another organ and produce metastases in the brain”he says.
