In addition to the recent pumptrack track, in the coming weeks two new paddle tennis courts will be inaugurated that are built with resources and execution by the municipality of Chillán and that will benefit the different housing complexes in the eastern sector of the commune.

“We are installing these paddle tennis courts that we hope to inaugurate next month and so that people can play free sports,” said Mayor Camilo Benavente in his last inspection visit to the works that are 80% complete, located on Los Pincunches Street, between Cerro Aracar and Cerro Constanza.

The community leader highlighted that these paddle tennis courts will have an instructor who will teach the community in the sector how to practice this sport.

“On one side there is a pumptrack, so the neighbors can come and play paddle tennis and leave their children doing a small bike cross circuit. That is why we are very happy that in this park in the Oriente sector we are creating a free public, sports infrastructure for our inhabitants of the Oriente sector,” said the mayor.

In mid-November, the pumtruck track came into operation, which has an area of 300 square meters with an asphalt layer of emulsion and rock powder, for a total length of 114 meters.

For its part, on the west side of this circuit there will be modern paddle tennis courts and a 100% municipal investment of approximately $86 million, in a total area of 409 m2, additionally complemented by universally accessible pavement of 106 m2.
