8 judges of Islamabad High Court received suspicious letters filled with powder, case registered

A case has been registered in the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) police station for receiving suspicious letters containing powder to 8 judges of the Islamabad High Court.

A case has been registered under terrorism provisions, according to the text of the FIR, the justice system has been criticized by referring to Tehreek-e-Namos Pakistan, using specific form and English word for threat.

The case has been registered in Islamabad High Court Clerk Qadeer Ahmed’s complaint.

According to the FIR, Qadeer Ahmed said that I distributed the letters in the names of all the judges, all the letters were received in the name of Resham Khatun wife Waqar Hussain incomplete address.

It should be noted that today 8 judges of Islamabad High Court received suspicious letters filled with powder which contained a threatening sign.

Chief Justice Islamabad High Court Amir Farooq confirmed during the hearing of the cipher case and said that “We have received the letter, this was one of the reasons for the delay in the hearing of the cipher case, basically the High Court was threatened.” .

Judicial sources said that the judges of the Islamabad High Court received suspicious letters on which the Islamabad High Court administration has ordered to register an FIR under the provisions of terrorism.

Judicial sources further said that when a judge’s staff opened the letter, there was powder inside it. A team of experts from the Islamabad Police reached the Islamabad High Court and started the investigation.

Sources said that inside the letter there was also a threatening sign, a woman sent the letters to the High Court judges without writing her address.

Judicial sources said that 8 judges including Chief Justice Amir Farooq received suspicious letters.

According to the sources, the Islamabad High Court immediately summoned the Inspector General of Islamabad Police and the Deputy Inspector General of Security following receiving the letter and the administration also ordered to file an FIR under the provisions of terrorism.

Sources said that the letters have been taken for verification.
