New Taipei’s festive Christmas City concluded its run on the 2nd. This year’s celebration, a partnership with Danish toy giant Lego, showcased a captivating 3D laser light show and stunning Lego installations, drawing legions of Lego enthusiasts. The prestigious British travel magazine “Wanderlust” recently unveiled its list of “8 Stunning Christmas Trees Worldwide,” with New Taipei City‘s Lego Christmas Tree – the centerpiece of its Christmas City – as the sole Asian representative.
The esteemed British travel publication “Wanderlust” compiled its “8 amazing Christmas trees globally,” featuring New Taipei City’s Civic Square Lego Christmas tree alongside spectacular displays in New York, Vilnius (Lithuania), Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), Mount Ingino (Italy), Strasbourg (France), London (England), and Lisbon (Portugal).
New Taipei City Tourism Director Jiang Zhiwei expressed pride in this international recognition, stating that the Christmas City’s inclusion as Asia’s only representative on the prestigious list underscores the city’s dedication to cultivating unique urban appeal and capturing global attention. He extended gratitude to all visitors who adhered to public health guidelines, ensuring New Taipei’s Christmas City shone brightly on the world stage.
The New Year’s Day holiday concluded today, marking the final day of New Taipei’s month-long Christmas City. The Tourism Bureau urges any remaining unvisited to make the most of this final opportunity. The illuminated area outside Banqiao Station boasts impressive large-scale Lego photo installations, including the “Pixie Club” and a “Lego Christmas Gingerbread House”.
The Wanping Park Light District showcased six Lego Christmas-themed installations, including a “Fantasy Gingerbread House Entrance”, “Christmas Elk on Holiday”, “Elf Bakery”, “Surprise Stunt Car”, “Christmas Robot”, and “Ignite Christmas Wishes,” immersing visitors in a magical Lego Christmas Village and reflecting the allure of the “8 amazing Christmas trees around the globe”.
