The soft drink brand 7UP has launched a new image with the aim of being sustainable and environmentally friendly.

Starting in July 2024, 7UP’s iconic green bottle will be transparent in all its presentations, and the canned version features a minimalist style.

“Now the 7UP bottle does not contain any type of pigment. This is a change towards sustainability, because it facilitates and guarantees a circular economy of the use of plastic from bottles of this type,” explained Adriana López, brand manager of 7UP, in an interview for The newspaper.

The brand representative confirmed that the transparent 7UP bottle represents a milestone in the history of soft drinks in Venezuela.

“This design aimed for minimalism without losing the essence that has long characterized 7UP. We are pioneers in this, we want to leave a mark on everything we do,” added Adriana López.

7UP brought the beach to the city

The launch of 7UP’s new image took place on July 18, 2024 in La Unión, Miranda state. The event was hosted by announcers Natalia Moretti and Isaías Landaeta in an open-air space lined with palm trees and stations alluding to the beach.

The musical atmosphere began with singer Génesis Rodríguez, who covered urban songs in a more pop style; while Mauro performed songs of his own.

The brand shared with Venezuelan influencers, media outlets and comedians different ways to prepare cocktails such as tinto UP, coco loco UP and mojito UP, which include the lemon-flavored soda.

“This is the most refreshing month of the year. Today is a day to enjoy, play and share with friends and celebrate the new image of 7UP,” Lopez shared.

As part of the games, the brand included a surfboard that tested guests’ balance, as well as beach paddles and air balls.

To close the evening, singer-songwriter Ava Casas, former member of the Venezuelan band Americania, sang part of his repertoire accompanied by a guitar.

“This event is not intended to be a formal event, we wanted to bring the beach to the city so that people can cool off with the new image of 7UP,” said the brand manager.

7UP inspires emerging talent

Another of the 7UP brand’s goals for several years is to highlight emerging talent in Venezuela.

Part of the brand’s proposal is the 7UP Comedy Club to expose the talent of Venezuelan comedians, some of whom make up this group are Carlos Jelambi and Carluis Medina.

“We want to give new talents the opportunity because that’s what 7UP is all regarding. It’s a product for friends, a fresh and refreshing proposition,” said brand manager Adriana López.

Among the artists who took part in the experience were Husky Bae, Cristina Mosquera, Jesús Daniel Díaz, Daniela Croce, Salvador Schneider, Alejandro López, Mariam Velazco, sisters Camila and Eugenia Siso, Daniela Barranco, Xavi Boybrand, Beatriz Lugo, Valentina Bosch, Diana Carolina Ruiz, among others.

The event concluded at approximately 6:40 pm, where guests said goodbye to the venue with a 7UP in hand and as the sun set.
